ADVENTURES > ZOHRA`S DIARY > WEEK 6
Saturday, June 8th 2002.
This morning I was back on the scales. I find it a scary thing. How ever still I sit on it, that thing always wobbles. Now I weigh 2150 grams and thus I'm still growing. Then my human checked my teeth, according to her to see if I'm already changing (?) them, but I know nothing about that. Besides my beautiful teeth, she saw nothing special.
Tonight we had a treat. My human was preparing her food and I found that strange. We always get our food first and now we had nothing. What I didn't know was that she made us food as well: boiled chicken. I had never eaten that. Sniffed it out first, then gently licked it and then gobbled it up. Mmmmm, what was that good! Later talked it over with Yottum and Quibus. Turns out she prepares it quite often and sometimes she cooks fish. I think I also have never eaten that, but they say it's a treat.
At bedtime I tackled Yottum a few times then went to sleep. I was really tired. When I awoke a little later and my human slept, I crawled under the blankets. It's nice and warm there. Only trouble is that she regularly turns over and then expects me to go sideways. Wakes me up every time and I also have to find another spot. Yet I lie better under the blankets then on top of them, because day and night she has the window open. She might enjoy it, I find it very cold.

Slept ever so nice, then had fun at Thia's expense. She wanted to crawl under the blanket, so I lifted my head to look over my humans leg. Grunting loudly she went back. I had my human back for myself. Proved short-lived, my human swung the blanket away a little later. After breakfast spent the morning pleasantly, but that ended rather abruptly. One by one, Thia, Quibus and Yottum were carried to our room and put in a cage. There they had to wait until the doctor came. Luckily I didn't have to get in a cage, so I sat in front of the doors of the cages to see how they were holding up. Quibus lied down quietly. Yottum was first perplexed and later he tried cautiously if the door could open and whether there was another exit. Thia struggled violently and tried in many ways to get the door open. When I told her that the button was a little more to the right, she gave me a foul look and then quickly gave me a whack. Then my human grabbed me in my scruff, put me outside the room and closed the door.
We didn't have to wait long for the doctor to come. I was the first to get acquainted. He found me a lovely girl, though you can't really be sure so fast. He checked whether my chip works and sure enough, it does. While my human went to get Quibus, the doctor grabbed me and tickled me behind my ears and under my chin. I was like wax in his hands and kept me limp. He had to laugh at that. The others all got an injection and then they were allowed to roam free again. My human took the cages apart and put them away. Thia felt so offended that she hid on top of the TV cabinet and for some a time wasn't seen or heard.
